Dr. John Barrett, D.D.S.

Dr. John Barrett opened Dentistry Northwest in Port Hadlock in January 1979. His interest is focused on efficient, affordable dentistry in a comfortable environment for the patient. Dr. Barrett and his wife, Anne Burns, have 5 children and 6 grand children. All of them live close enough for frequent fun visits. Dr. Barrett’s hobbies include flying, alpine skiing, fly fishing, and mountain biking, to name a few. He says “I’m very lucky to have a gifted staff who are so proficient that if I do what they say we have predictably excellent dental outcomes.”

Dr. Conner Ames

Dr. Conner Ames joined the Dentistry Northwest team in December 2018 after relocating back to Washington from the Chicago area where he attended dental school at Midwestern University.  Dr. Ames is a Pacific Northwest native having been born and raised in the Covington area and has a passion for all things outdoors including dirt biking, mountain biking, road biking and backpacking.  After Dr. Ames graduated dental school he hiked the Pacific Crest trail with his brother.  He has two older sisters, a younger brother, two dogs and two cats. 

Carol - dental assistant

Hi my name is Carol, I am a dental assistant at Dentistry Northwest. I have

been working for Dr Barrett since the beginning of time, or at least since

1983. I am married and have 3 children. I enjoy warm tropical vacations and

watching my kids sporting events. Oh, and of course there's Facebook which

does occupy some of my spare time.

Rebecca - front office

Hi my name is Rebecca and most likely I will be the first person to greet

you when you walk thru our front door or call our office. I am here to help

you with all your insurance and financial questions and to assist you in

scheduling your appointments. I was born and raised in Port Townsend. I

graduated from PTHS and have worked in a dental office since 1993. I started

working for Dr Barrett in 2005. When I'm not at work I am busing with my two

daughters. I love spending my free time outside in the yard and gardens or

at the beach.
